Soft skills training is a critical yet frequently overlooked corporate competency, especially within IT organizations. As part of a comprehensive new hire onboarding program, this innovative empathy training course earned recognition with an award in its inaugural quarter.
Interactive Media
The Orchestration Flowchart was created for a C-Suite presentation as an interactive media graphic to assist with a presentation, where a PowerPoint deck was not sufficient to meet the needs of the stakeholders. It was created using Articulate Storyline and Adobe Illustrator.
Client Success Onboarding 101
This interactive onboarding module streamlines the process for new customer service managers, transitioning from a lecture-based format to a more engaging, participant-focused approach that increases learning retention.
Interactive Presentation
This fun, interactive presentation was created for an ILT Sales seminar. It consisted of a mix of illustrated lectures, interactive assessments, and a take-home quick reference guide for the participants at the end of the seminar.
Software Simulation
The software simulation was designed as part of a larger course to certify healthcare administrators on a custom LMS platform. It was created using Articulate Storyline for the simulation and Adobe Illustrator for the graphics, with myself the writer providing the voiceover.
Custom Assessment
The Skills Checklist Assessment served as a prototype for the Skills Checklist module, which was ultimately replaced with a more demonstration-based assessment. I have elected to include it here to illustrate the various question types and evaluative approaches employed.
Microlearning Module
Gainsight is a customer relationship management platform (CRM). This was a training pain point identified and addressed as a microlearning module created and hosted on the customer's LMS.
Business Writing Mini-Course
The Customer Support department, which included many new hires without prior corporate experience, requested an asynchronous "Grammar for Business Writing Soft-Skills" course. It was determined that some employees lacked basic business writing skills, so a series of self-paced business writing modules was created. This excerpt is from one of those modules, which addresses common grammar errors found in workplace writing.
Storyboard
This storyboard was developed for a webinar targeting up to 20 online participants, aimed at new administrators and supervisors of the LMS system. The webinar was designed to run approximately 1-1.5 hours in length.
Interactive Module
This is an interactive original illustration of the Globe Theatre, created completely in Inkscape, a free and open-source graphics editor, similar to Adobe Illustrator, and then imported into Articulate Storyline to create the interactivity.
e-Learning Module
This was a sample created for a SaaS company to introduce their product line to new/potential clients. It is an interactive module with a voiceover and script. It contains original graphics created with Adobe Illustrator. Launch it as a PowerPoint presentation with audio on for best viewing.
Job Aid/Quick Reference Guide
This quick reference guide was created on-demand and both emailed and made available on the LMS for Human Resource Directors to assist with compliance regulations. It was created with a combination of Adobe Illustrator, Snagit, and PowerPoint.
Graphic Design/Illustration
These illustrations were commissioned by BaseSix Games for two of their board games. The difference in the graphics and the look and feel of the games showcases the variety in styles used.
Instructional Manual
This game manual and company logo were designed and written for a board game entry into the Solo-Duo Game Design contest. It resulted in a top 20 finish. Original graphics were all drawn using Inkscape.
